The CCA Summit organizers are taking steps to ensure a safe and productive meeting in October. Our team is continuing to monitor the situation in New Orleans and is working closely with the Loews New Orleans Hotel to ensure we are taking appropriate safety precautions. Loews also has their own Safety Protocols for the hotel.

At this time, the City of New Orleans requires masks indoors in all its public facilities; therefore, the CCA Summit will require masks for all in-person attendees. Masks must be worn in the general session room unless eating, drinking, or presenting. Masks are not required for outdoor events.

The CCA Summit is not legally able to require vaccinations but recommends that everyone attending the in-person event be vaccinated. Proof of vaccination (1 or both shots) or 72-hour negative test results are required for entering restaurants in the hotel and throughout restaurants in New Orleans.

Here’s What we are Doing to Keep Attendees Safe

  1. Attendees will be required to fill out a COIVD‑19 waiver form prior to being onsite or while at the registration desk confirming they understand the COIVD‑19 guidelines that the CCA Summit organizers have put in place as well as local safety protocols
  2. Color-coded lanyards (Green, Yellow, and Red [social distance, elbow bumps, hugs]) will be available at the registration desk so that each attendee can indicate their level of comfort with social distancing. If an attendee is not wearing a lanyard that indicates their comfort level, we ask that attendees confer before shaking hands or hugging
  3. Meeting spaces will be set up with more personal space to accommodate attendees
  4. Increased hand sanitization stations will be available throughout the event in meeting rooms, hallways, and registration areas
  5. Large networking functions will be held in outdoor spaces
  6. All staff, vendors, and attendees will be asked to self-screen for symptoms or other risk factors of COIVD‑19 daily, using CDC’s COIVD‑19 screening tool prior to admittance to meeting spaces

The CCA Summit organizers are closely monitoring the local infection rates and restrictions in New Orleans as well as guidelines from the CDC and has the right to update this plan if necessary.
